Did you see this fabulous invention of a coat that responds in the real world to actions that happen on social media?
This surely sets a precedent for a million other ways you could get your computer to arrange your real life for you – a hand could slap you every time you post something negative, a waistband could tighten if you posted an image of an unhealthy meal, we could all become governed by our social media lives.
How much mileage do you think there might be in this type of interaction, and how it might affect our lives going forwards? Apart from the ugly fashion of the jacket, it may be an early signal of a closer interaction between us and machines than you might want.
How scary would that be? How does social media act on your real world now? And what would you most fear about how it might influence you and your friends and followers? I would love to hear more in the comments below.
